Training Programme Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club is now an official RYA Approved Training Centre. It is also part of the Onboard training scheme that has been established to bring more young people in to the sport of sailing. A number of club members hold Royal Yachting Association dinghy instructor and coaching qualifications.
This year the club has already held a series of training sessions on the
Saturday afternoons to introduce juniors to racing. Hollingworth Lake will also be the venue for a number of area training meetings for a number of the classes sailed by the Club. These courses will be run by area and national coaches. |

The boat's name is sometimes apt! |
At Hollingworth Lake, you have two opportunities to develop your skills in sailing. The club is very lucky in having close ties with the neighbouring Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre. At the centre, beginners can receive training, at all stages from novice to advanced levels, from Royal Yachting Association qualified instructors. They also offer training in windsurfing, canoeing and powerboat handling. Just click here to send them a request |
