The second Annual Freezer Open meeting was held on the 18th February with a much improved turnout of 17 boats representing 7 clubs and a great spread of ages. The weather gods were smiling on the fleet, giving us warmer weather than may be expected at this time of years and a wind which started off at a good sitting out level and picked up to it’s strongest in between the second and third races.
In a close fought event there were 3 different race winners and 5 boats in total taking the podium places across the races, leading to a tie-break win by Adam McGovern, crewed by his father Tim, to win the event and 3 different classes represented in the top 5 boats.
